During the same time we also had Pillar remodel our living room opening it up to the outside by taking out an old fireplace and adding sliding glass doors while also incorporating a new exterior porch. With both projects Shawn was great to work with, providing guidance and recommendations that were insightful and much appreciated. Our community hired Pillar Construction to perform remodeling work on a 50 year old guard house. After meeting with Shawn, we came up with a plan on the work needed and got to work. The challenge was that this building is staffed 24/7 by a security staff and the crew would need to relocate while the interior was demoed and rebuilt over a few months. Shawn was instrumental in developing a plan to relocate the staff into a portable building so that that operation and remodel could be performed at the same time while minimizing disruption. The work consisted of new cabinetry, countertops, ceiling, flooring, paint, bathroom, electrical and exterior surface pavers. Once started, the crew showed up daily, were friendly, professional and very skilled with their work. Of course there were hiccups and unknown findings, but Shawn and his team were very responsive and always had a plan to mitigate any issues and keep the project moving. Their team handled a full scope of work, including demolition of the existing siding and soffits, installation of NuCedar siding, new soffits, and all new trim around our windows and doors, along with painting and overall project coordination. Shawn is an excellent contractor and was a delight to work with. We replaced all of the siding on our house with a new type of shingles that has rarely been used in our area (NuCedar PVC shingles). We also replaced all of the soffits and then painted everything. Shawn did an excellent job of reviewing all of the supplier’s recommended procedures and then following them. The job came out great!
